NHS 111 is a new service that's being introduced to make it easier for you to access local NHS healthcare services in England. You can call 111 when you need medical help fast but it’s not a 999 emergency. NHS 111 is a fast and easy way to get the right help, whatever the time.

NHS 111 is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Calls are free from landlines and mobile phones.

NHS Walk-in centres: Open 7 days a week from early 'til late.
These are designed to work alongside services offered by GP surgeries to offer an additional choice for patients who need treatment for minor injuries/illnesses and health advice.

At all NHS Walk-in centres you can receive healthcare information, advice and treatment for:

  • Coughs, colds and flu-like symptoms
  • Information on staying healthy/local services
  • Minor cuts and wounds - care, dressings
  • Skin complaints - rashes, sunburn, head-lice, nappy rash
  • Muscle and joint injuries - strains and sprains
  • Stomach ache, indigestion, constipation, vomiting, diarrhoea
  • Women’s health problems eg thrush, menstrual advice
  • Hayfever, bites and stings
